Irish pop-rock group The Corrs have officially cancelled their upcoming performance at Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Arena, originally scheduled for September 27. The band announced the decision on their social media channels on August 19, attributing the change to “unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.”
In their statement, the band expressed regret, noting, “We’re very sorry to share that, due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, our show at Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi on 27th September has been cancelled.” The group acknowledged the disappointment of fans who had planned to attend and confirmed that full refunds will be issued through the original point of purchase. No further explanation for the cancellation was provided, and no rescheduled date has been announced.
The cancellation follows a series of recent event changes in the region. Earlier this week, organizers confirmed that the 2026 OFFLIMITS Music Festival, which was slated to feature headliner Shakira and the Jonas Brothers, has been called off, with hopes for a return in 2027. Additionally, American singer Christina Aguilera’s scheduled performance at the Etihad Arena on September 25—just two days before The Corrs’ show—has also been cancelled. Ticketmaster has notified ticket holders that refunds for the Aguilera concert will be processed via the original payment method. The report also notes that organisers said they hoped the festival would return in 2027. The report also notes that “We know many of you were planning to join us and hope to see you again soon.
