The 2026 Formula 1 World Championship is set to conclude in the United Arab Emirates, with the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix confirmed to run from December 3 to December 6 at the Yas Marina Circuit. Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula One, stated that preparations for the season finale are proceeding according to the established plan, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to the current calendar.
Domenicali noted that the emirate is preparing to host the final race in an exceptional atmosphere, supported by a comprehensive schedule of events and experiences that will accompany the competition. The event remains a cornerstone of the racing calendar, blending high-stakes motorsport with a wide array of concerts, hospitality offerings, and entertainment programs across Yas Island.
Saood Abdulaziz Al Hosani, Under-Secretary of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, emphasized that the emirate’s history of hosting Formula 1 since 2009 underscores its global stature and capacity to manage major international sporting events. He added that the Grand Prix serves as a significant driver for the local tourism, hospitality, and events sectors, consistently drawing a global audience to the region.
Operational preparations are also moving forward, according to Saif Rashid Al Noaimi, CEO of Ethara. He confirmed that his team is working in close coordination with Formula 1 and various partners throughout the emirate to ensure a high-quality experience for all drivers, teams, and spectators. As the season finale, the event is expected to integrate sport, tourism, and entertainment into a singular, world-class experience for fans arriving from across the globe.
