Strict action will be taken against the mafia responsible for sending beggars to Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia has given a stern message to Pakistan not to send any more beggars disguised as pilgrims. Saudi Arabian authorities have requested Pakistan to take necessary steps to prevent Pakistani beggars from entering Saudi Arabia.
The country has warned Pakistan that if the situation is not controlled, it could have a negative impact on Pakistani Umrah and Haj pilgrims.
It was also said that Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj has alerted Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs and urged them to take steps to prevent Pakistani beggars from entering the country under Umrah visas.
After receiving a message from the Saudi government, the Ministry of Religion has decided to introduce the ‘Umrah Law’, which aims to regulate travel agencies that facilitate the travel of citizens for Umrah, bringing them under legal supervision, the Ministry of Religion said.
At the same time, the Ministry of Religion urged the country’s government to find a way to prevent beggars from traveling to Saudi Arabia under the guise of observing religious rules.
Earlier, in a meeting with Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmed Al-Malki, the country’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi assured that strict action will be taken against the mafia responsible for sending beggars to Saudi Arabia.
He said that the central investigation agency Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has been given the responsibility to crush this network.
