The Sharjah Department of Human Resources (SDHR) has reported the successful employment of 1,583 citizens within government entities between January 5 and August 27, 2026. The hiring initiative saw 868 men and 715 women secure positions across various sectors.
Academic qualifications played a significant role in the recruitment process. University graduates led the hiring figures with 915 placements, followed by 614 high school diploma holders. The remaining appointments included 34 master’s degree recipients, 16 diploma holders, and 4 doctorate holders.
Geographically, Sharjah city recorded the highest volume of appointments, totaling 1,131 individuals, comprising 658 males and 473 females. Khor Fakkan followed with 166 hires, while Kalba recorded 139. Additional placements were distributed across Al Dhaid (49), Dibba Al Hisn (31), Mleiha (23), Al Madam and Al Bataeh (18 each), and Al Hamriyah (8).
Regarding the nature of the organizations, 912 citizens were placed in central government entities, consisting of 454 males and 458 females. Meanwhile, decentralized entities accounted for 671 new hires, including 414 men and 257 women. The report also notes that university degree holders came first regarding the employed with a total of 915 employees, while the number of those employed with a high school diploma reached 614, along with 34 master’s degree h, according to the data.
