Hassan Nasrallah, the head of Lebanon’s armed forces, Hezbollah, will address the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas in the next few hours.
Hamas attacked Israel on October 7. Since then, Israel has been indiscriminately bombing Gaza for almost four consecutive weeks. Meanwhile, the conflict with Lebanon’s Hezbollah forces is also going on at the Israel-Lebanon border.
Hizbollah’s leader has not made any statement about this conflict so far. He is going to break his silence for the first time today.
His speech will be broadcast around 3pm local time in Lebanon. He will give a speech in memory of a fighter killed in an Israeli bombardment from a Hezbollah stronghold in the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
Conflict has also spread along Lebanon’s southern border. It has been reported that Israel has carried out several rounds of counter-attacks with Hezbollah, known as an ally of Hamas.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said on Thursday that at least 9,250 people have been killed and more than 22,000 injured in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7.
In the meantime, airstrikes have taken place around Al Quds Hospital in Gaza City. According to the Ministry of Health, almost half of Gaza’s hospitals are out of service due to bombardment and fuel shortages.
Al Shifa, Gaza’s largest hospital, could shut down at any time.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian organization Hamas attacked Israel on October 7 and kidnapped 242 people as hostages, military spokesman Hagari claimed on Thursday.
While Hamas put the number of hostages at over 100, Israel had previously claimed 202 hostages. Hamas has already released some hostages.
