The star was in the city to inaugurate his new AAA Cinemas location at the Inorbit Mall, an event that drew significant attention from the local public.
The actor’s arrival caused a stir outside the venue, with fans surrounding his vehicle as security teams worked to maintain order. During the commotion, Arjun stood through his car’s sunroof to wave at the cheering crowd, who followed his convoy as it moved through the area.
Addressing the audience at the multiplex launch, Arjun reflected on his long-standing connection to the city. He reminisced about his early days, noting that he used to roam the streets freely while filming projects like Gangotri, a luxury he can no longer enjoy due to his current level of fame.
“My association with Vizag goes back years,” he told the crowd. “I never dreamt while shooting here years ago that one day a mall might come up here and I would have a multiplex there.”
Beyond the event, the actor provided a progress update on his highly anticipated science-fiction film, Raaka. He explained that production is currently underway in Mumbai, and he specifically requested a temporary break from the shooting schedule to ensure he could attend the launch and meet his fans in Visakhapatnam.
Raaka is being directed by Atlee and produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner. The film features Arjun alongside Deepika Padukone, with music composed by Sai Abhyankar. The project is currently in active production and is slated for a theatrical release in December 2027.
Following the successful launch, the actor took to social media to share highlights and photographs from the event. The film is reportedly being produced on a massive budget, marking a significant milestone in the actor’s career.
