The UAE Cybersecurity Council (CSC) has confirmed that national defense systems effectively identified and blocked a series of sophisticated, coordinated cyber attacks. These hostile operations were specifically aimed at critical infrastructure within the country’s aviation, energy, and education sectors.
Authorities stated that the threats were addressed proactively, allowing teams to contain intrusion attempts before any damage could occur. Consequently, the continuity of essential services and vital digital systems remained entirely unaffected by the attempted breaches.
According to the Council, the attackers utilized a variety of complex techniques, including attempts to compromise digital infrastructure, operational data, and individual user accounts. The campaign also featured targeted “phishing” efforts designed to exploit personnel as a gateway into secure environments.
In response, national cybersecurity teams successfully tracked the attackers’ digital paths and identified key indicators of compromise. Technical measures were immediately deployed to neutralize the threats, ensuring the security of the targeted networks and preventing any further spread of the malicious activity.
