In the video circulating on social media, it was seen that the locals are trying to get the survivors out of the houses and buildings that collapsed due to the earthquake.
Tremors were also felt in India’s capital, New Delhi, which is about 500 kilometers from the epicenter, AFP reported.
Nepal’s Karnali province police spokesman Gopal Chandra Bhattarai told AFP that a large number of members of the country’s law enforcement agencies had been deployed to carry out the rescue operation.

Indian social media users reported that the earthquake was felt in the country’s northern cities of Lucknow and Patna on Friday.
A few hours later, the USGS reported an aftershock of a magnitude four in the same area.
