The firing incident took place at a time when 26 people were killed in a horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir a few days ago. This is the biggest attack in Kashmir since the Pulwama attack in 2019.

In this situation, Pakistan on Saturday test-fired the “Abdali” ballistic missile. Indian officials described it as an “open provocation”. Pakistan said that this 450 km range missile was tested as part of the “Sindh exercise”.
