Prime Minister Narendra Modi has proposed to host the COP-33 conference in India in 2028. The Prime Minister of India made this proposal at the 28th session of the COP (Conference of the Parties) on Friday (December 1).
The United Nations World Climate Conference COP-28 kicked off on Thursday (November 30) at Xpro City in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Recently, India successfully hosted the G-20 summit. The presence of state leaders of several countries in the conference was commendable. After the success of that conference, India offered to host the Climate Summit.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Dubai on Thursday night. On reaching there, in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, he wrote, “I have come to Dubai to attend the COP-28 conference. Looking forward to the meeting aimed at building a beautiful world.
The Prime Minister of India addressed the inaugural session of the ‘World Climate Action Summit’ on Friday. There, he said, India is committed to the UN Framework for Climate Change. That is why I am proposing to host the COP-33 summit in India in 2028.
The 28th session of the United Nations Climate Summit COP (Conference of the Parties) was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on Thursday. The discussion will continue till December 12.
In this year’s conference, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, was given a special honor as well as giving a special speech at the official opening. Climate related issues will be discussed from this stage in the next few days.
