Bilawal Bhutto referring to Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Sharif said in an event that Nawaz Sharif would not be able to stay in power for long if he came to power.
General elections will be held in Pakistan on Thursday, February 8. Future leadership will be determined.
On Tuesday (February 6), People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilwal Bhutto hinted at Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif at an event that Nawaz Sharif would not be in power for long if he came to power. The election campaign ended the day before.
So his comment was very chatty.
On the same day, Nawaz Sharif while addressing a rally in Kasur on the last day of the election campaign across the country said, “If my government had not been ousted, the country would have been on the path of progress.” He said, if his party comes to power this time, Pakistan will become an Asian tiger.
Bilwal Bhutto, however, said Sharif would face a no-confidence vote within six months if elected for a fourth term. Instability will be created. Besides, he said, if any kind of manipulation is resorted to, then his party will react strongly.
Ahead of the election, former Prime Minister of Pakistan and Chairman of Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan gave a message to the voters from jail. He urged them to protect their rights and guard polling stations. In an X message (ex Twitter) he made this call to voters.
