Former national team left-arm pacer Junaid Khan has been appointed as the bowling coach of the U-19 team by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
He has been given the important post of cricket instead of Rihan Riaz.
Rihan was out of the team due to a family emergency since the ICC U-19 World Cup. Because of which the board had to think about someone new. And in the race to become the new coach, Junaid is the first to reach the threshold of PCB.
Earlier, Junaid worked as the head coach of Islamabad region. Under him, Islamabad won the Hanif Mohammad Trophy for the 2023-24 season.
After making his debut in 2011, Junaid has played 107 international matches for Pakistan. This 34-year-old left-arm pacer has taken 189 wickets with excellent bowling.
