At least 21 people lost their lives in a bus accident on the Dahab-Nuweibaa road in South Sinai on Wednesday, according to the Egyptian health ministry. The route, located along the Red Sea coast, is a frequent destination for tourists.
Jordan’s foreign ministry confirmed that several Jordanian citizens were among the passengers, with initial reports indicating both fatalities and injuries among them. This incident follows a separate road tragedy last month in Egypt’s Ismailia governorate, which left 15 people dead and 32 others injured.
