Bangladesh women’s cricket team beat Pakistan with a great performance with the bat. The girls in red and green achieved the feat of winning the series against the team for the first time in the shorter version of cricket.
Batting first, Bangladesh lost 6 wickets and got a fighting capital of 120 runs. In response, Pakistan’s innings stopped at 100 runs after losing 7 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. Jyoti’s team won the series by 2-0 against Pakistan in this 20-run victory. Earlier, Bangladesh girls won the first match by 5 wickets.
Pakistan captain Nida Dar won the toss and sent the hosts into bat at Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong. Swarna Akhter remained unbeaten with the maximum of 27 runs. He hit four sixes off 22 balls.
20 runs came from the bat of Murshida Khatun. Besides, Ritu Moni scored 19 runs, Shamima Sultana scored 18 runs, Shobna Mostari scored 16 runs and captain Jyoti scored 10 runs. Diana Baig took 2 wickets for Pakistan.
Natalia Parvez called the third ball of the innings after getting down to the target of 121 runs. Sidra Amin (9) also departed. Bismah Maruf made a partnership of 25 runs with him. No one could give good company to the Pakistan captain. He played a fighting innings of 30 runs off 44 balls.
