GAC has officially surpassed 30 million cumulative owners worldwide, a production milestone achieved by only a select group of global automakers. This achievement places the brand firmly among the industry’s established manufacturers. The company commemorated this success on July 16 during its “Celebrating Our Family of 30 million Owners” event held in Guangzhou, which gathered customers from across its network of more than 110 countries and territories to mark a pivotal moment in the firm’s 29-year history.
For consumers in the UAE, this scale provides significant reassurance regarding the brand’s long-term stability and support. While choosing a newer marque can often lead to concerns about future service, GAC’s global reach demonstrates a deep-rooted commitment to its customer base. In the UAE, this is bolstered by Gargash Motors, the brand’s exclusive local distributor, which maintains an extensive showroom and after-sales network. To celebrate the achievement, GAC Middle East hosted a local event and invited a UAE-based owner to represent the region at the global ceremony in China.
The company’s rise from producing fewer than 10,000 vehicles annually to becoming a major player across five continents is the result of decades of strategic development. GAC initially refined its manufacturing standards through long-term joint ventures with Honda and Toyota before launching its own independent brand. This 30-million-vehicle figure represents the culmination of that foundational work rather than an overnight success.
This massive scale directly benefits owners through a robust support infrastructure. The brand currently operates six overseas manufacturing plants, nine international parts warehouses, and over 746 sales and service outlets worldwide. This network ensures that vehicles remain serviceable long after the initial purchase. The company continues to see positive momentum across its five primary overseas regions: the Middle East, Africa, Europe, the Americas, and the Asia Pacific.
In the Middle East, GAC has prioritized after-sales reliability by working closely with local partners. During periods of regional supply chain disruption, the brand launched a dedicated Middle East Customer Care initiative to ensure that maintenance services remained uninterrupted. Furthermore, the brand’s quality is reflected in its market performance; in Kuwait, GAC ranks as the top Chinese automaker for both overall vehicle quality and residual value. Similarly, in Thailand, the brand achieved a three-year resale retention rate of 56.82 percent, the highest among all Chinese manufacturers in that market.
Mark Zhang, general manager of GAC Middle East, stated that the 30-million-owner milestone serves as a powerful reassurance for buyers in the UAE. He noted that the figure reflects the company’s long-term vision and its ability to invest in both current and future vehicle models. Zhang emphasized that the brand is focused on building lasting customer confidence through a comprehensive parts and service network. Looking ahead, the company plans to expand its UAE portfolio with the introduction of the all-new GS7, which is expected to arrive in the local market soon.

The 30-million figure is the sum of that groundwork rather than a sudden arrival.
