Several inbound and outbound flights at Dubai International Airport (DXB) have been diverted to nearby airports.
Authorities in Ajman announced free parking on Saturday due to heavy rains in the country.
Ajman Municipality said it will be valid from 5pm to 10pm due to weather conditions.
Unstable conditions prevailed throughout the day due to heavy rains and thundershowers in various parts of the country.
Residents were advised to stay indoors by authorities and several events were canceled and popular leisure spots closed.
Some bus services between Dubai and Sharjah have been suspended.
In Sharjah, all exit tunnels leading to main roads – Sharjah Maliha Road, Sharjah Al Dhaid and Khor Fakkan Road – were also closed due to accumulation of rainwater.
