US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced final rules for obtaining H-1B visas (specialty occupation visas) for 2025 to reduce the risk of visa fraud.
According to the new rules, no matter how many times applicants apply, everyone will get one chance. Beginning in 2025, USCIS will screen beneficiary applications separately to prevent fraud and ensure fairness. To register, applicants must provide valid passport or travel history details.
Applicants can apply for the job starting after 1 October 2025.
USCIS has the authority to reject any application documents found to be falsified. The fee submission time will be determined after the application deadline.
The initial registration period for visa applications will start from March 6 this year and will continue until March 22 USCIS will notify on February 28 which account the fee should be deposited into.
