Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie has strongly criticized Israel’s attack on the besieged Gaza. She said that Israel is indiscriminately bombing the besieged Palestinian population who have no way to go.
Angelina Jolie, the former Goodwill Ambassador of the United Nations Refugee Agency, posted on social media Instagram on Wednesday, saying, ‘Gaza has been an open prison for almost two decades. The area is fast becoming a mass grave. 40 percent of the victims were innocent children. All the members of each family are being killed.’
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said today that since October 7, 8,796 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza. 3 thousand 648 of the dead are children.
Jolie added, ‘The whole world is watching as Palestinian civilians, especially children, women and all family members are punished, treated inhumanely and deprived of food, medicine and humanitarian aid. Which is a violation of international law. What’s more, the governments of many countries are actively supporting (Israel) in this conflict.’
“By rejecting calls for a humanitarian truce and thwarting (by vetoing) the UN Security Council’s initiative to impose a cease-fire, world leaders are acting as accomplices (to Israel) in these crimes,” added Jolie.
