Residents of Saudi Arabia are getting a chance to see a partial lunar eclipse with their naked eyes. This lunar eclipse will begin on Saturday (October 28) night. Jeddah Astronomical Society reported this information.
The president of the Astronomical Society, Majik Abu Zahra, said that the partial lunar eclipse will be visible from all parts of Saudi Arabia. Will be seen around 10:35 PM.
He also said that apart from Saudi Arabia, the lunar eclipse will also be seen from Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. The lunar eclipse will begin at 10:35 PM local Saudi time and last until 11:52 PM.
A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth is between the Moon and the Sun. During this time, the Earth mainly blocks the moonlight from the Sun.
A total lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon and the Sun are on opposite sides of the Earth. But when the Earth is between the Moon and the Sun, the sunlight cannot reach the Moon directly. The world prevents it.
