Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, conducted an official visit to the 23rd edition of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX 2026) at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. Held under the theme ‘A Legacy of Pride’, ADIHEX 2026 runs until 6th September, serving as a premier global platform for cultural preservation and industry innovation.
Heritage as a National Pillar
During his visit, Sheikh Hamdan underscored the vital importance of safeguarding the UAE’s heritage for future generations. He stated, “The UAE’s heritage is a cornerstone of our national identity, and preserving it is a responsibility passed down through generations. We take immense pride in the rich legacy and deeply rooted values that have shaped our nation’s journey. We remain committed to safeguarding our heritage while harnessing innovation and technology to ensure its sustainability and strengthen the UAE’s position as a global model that honours its past while embracing the future.”
Exhibition Scale and Growth
This year’s edition marks a historic milestone as the largest in the exhibition’s history, occupying all halls and facilities at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi for the first time. Running for 10 days, the event reflects significant growth in scale, participation, and specialized activities. Organised by the ADNEC Group in strategic partnership with the Emirates Falconers’ Club, the exhibition features 15 specialized sectors, including hunting, equestrianism, falconry, heritage preservation, and outdoor activities.
Tour Highlights and Key Pavilions
- Sheikh Hamdan toured national and international pavilions accompanied by Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group, and several senior officials.
- He was briefed on advanced technologies and specialized solutions for wildlife conservation, sustainable hunting, and falconry.
- The tour included visits to the International Fund for Houbara Conservation, ekthar, and the Bin Hayai Center for Houbara and Wild Rabbit Breeding.
- Sheikh Hamdan also visited the Al Marzoom Hunting Reserve, CARACAL, INPEX, the UAE Biotech Research Center, Gulf Falcons, and Sawari.
