Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan and the country’s former cricket star, is bowling a magic spell while sitting in jail. And the late wickets of Nawaz Sharif and Bilawal Bhutto’s team are falling.
According to the court’s ruling, he cannot compete in this election himself. Besides, none of his party can fight for votes in the party symbol. Instead of PTI’s party symbol bat, they are contesting as independents with various unfamiliar symbols. However, the candidates of Tehreek-e-Insaf party cannot be detained in the voting field.
In the results announced by the Election Commission of Pakistan, they are moving towards victory. After polling ended at 5 pm on Thursday, the counting began. According to reports, Imran Khan’s candidates are ahead in 125 seats. Rival Nawaz Sharif’s PML-N candidates are ahead in just 44 seats. And Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s Pakistan People’s Party is ahead in only 28 seats. 169 seats are required to form the government in Pakistan’s 336-seat parliament.
Meanwhile, prisoner Imran Khan declared himself victorious while sitting in jail. The former prime minister of Pakistan made such a claim in a post on his behalf on social media X.
Imran was quoted in the X Post as saying, “Our people have voted en masse despite every possible method to subvert the will of the people.” As we have said time and time again, no power can defeat him whose time has come. The post claimed that Imran’s party was won by people with a large number of votes.
On the other hand, Pakistan’s national election has been called into question as the results have been announced almost 12 hours after the end of polling. However, independent candidates supported by former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are seen to be ahead after the declaration of results.
Leaders of Pakistan’s opposition political parties have criticized the government and the Election Commission for starting the declaration of results late. According to many of them, this is choosing a manipulative technique.
Counting begins after polling closes at 5 pm on Thursday. After more than 11 hours, the result of the first seat was announced at 4:30 am local time on Friday. An independent candidate supported by Imran’s party PTI won that seat. According to the Election Commission of Pakistan, the results are being delayed due to slow internet speed.
As of last reported, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s party PML-N has won 4 of the 13 seats declared. Another former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-backed candidates won 5 seats and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) 4 seats.
Note that a party has to win 169 seats to form a single government in Pakistan. Nawaz Sharif’s Muslim League was expected to win the most seats in Pakistan’s elections this year. Analysts say the 74-year-old former prime minister has the military’s blessing. However, many have claimed that a coalition government may be formed in Pakistan this time.
