The third edition of the Ras Al Khaimah Fitness Challenge has been officially announced under the direction of Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah. This initiative is designed to motivate young Emiratis to prioritize their physical well-being, lose weight, and adopt sustainable, healthy habits. By fostering a culture of regular exercise, the program seeks to enhance the overall quality of life and build a more active society across the emirate.
Faisal Al Ghais, Chairman of the organizing committee, noted that this latest installment builds upon the momentum and success of previous years. He expressed gratitude for the Crown Prince’s ongoing support, emphasizing that the committee is dedicated to delivering a unique experience that inspires participants to make permanent, positive changes to their daily routines. “We look forward to seeing wide participation from the people of Ras Al Khaimah in the third edition,” Al Ghais stated.
To qualify for the competition, applicants must be UAE citizens holding a Ras Al Khaimah passport and fall within the age range of 13 to 30. Additionally, participants are required to have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of at least 40 and must be registered members of a gym located within the emirate. Registration for the challenge is set to open in early September at various fitness centers across Ras Al Khaimah.
The competition will recognize the achievements of 20 top performers with significant cash rewards. The first-place winner will receive a grand prize of Dh50,000. The prize money will scale down by Dh1,000 for each subsequent rank, ensuring that the 20th-placed participant receives a reward of Dh31,000. This structure is intended to provide a strong incentive for participants to stay committed to their fitness goals throughout the duration of the challenge.
