If you have issued your visa from Dubai, you need to visit the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) website to check its validity. Here’s how you can do it in just 5 steps:
- First, visit the GDRFA website and click on ‘Visa Status’ on the home page.
- You will then be directed to a new page where you will see several options – you can search for your application using your file number.
- Select ‘File’ to search for your application
- Next, fill all the relevant details like your name, date of birth and file number Check the box below and click ‘Search’ to verify you’re not a robot.
- After searching using this method you will be able to check your visa status. However, if you are unable to see the status, your visa is probably fake.
If your visit visa application was made through another Emirate, you can check the validity of your visa using an online service provided by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security.
First, visit the smartservices.icp.gov.ae website. On this page, click on ‘Public Visa Services’ in the top bar.
Then, select ‘Application Tracking’. You will be taken to another page where you can search for your visa application using your email and request number.
Once you enter the correct information and click on ‘Search’, you will be able to find your visa application.
