US President Joe Biden, Russian Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and President Vladimir Putin have congratulated Narendra Modi, who won the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections for the third time in a row.
Biden and Sunak offered their congratulations in a message posted on social media X, and Putin telephoned Modi directly.
In a message posted on social media X on Wednesday (05 June), the US President said, “Congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the National Democratic Alliance on the victory in the elections.” This year’s election was historic, with around 65 crore voters voting. Best wishes to them for conducting such an election successfully.
‘The future of both the United States and India has infinite potential; And the only key to open the door to this possibility is the friendship of the two countries.
Meanwhile, on the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin called Narendra Modi and congratulated him. This information was reported by the Kremlin press department of the Russian President’s Office.
The statement said, “The two leaders expressed satisfaction with the special friendly and potentially strategic relationship India and Russia currently enjoy.” Along with that, they expressed hope that this relationship will expand in the coming days.
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak congratulated Narendra Modi. Posting a congratulatory message on his X handle, he wrote, ‘I spoke to Narendra Modi to wish him victory in the elections. Britain and India are best friends. This friendship will remain unbreakable in the future.
