Meta brings a much-desired feature to Facebook Messenger. That is, from now on the message sent to someone can be edited or edited.
With this new update, messages can be edited within 15 minutes of sending.
To edit a ‘sent’ or sent message in Messenger, click on the sent message.
This applies to mobile apps. This feature has not been added to the web yet.
In the options, click on ‘more’ and from there click on ‘edit’. You will also see it with options like ‘Forward’, ‘Bump’, ‘Remove’.
This ‘Edit’ option will only apply to messages sent within 15 minutes. Messages can no longer be edited after the 15 minute time limit is exceeded. In that case a new message can be sent by unsending.
In this regard, Meta said, users can ‘report’ edited messages. In other words, even if a negative message is sent and edited later, it is reportable and the meta authority can also decide on the matter by looking at the message before it was edited. In addition, Messenger recently announced the launch of encrypted chat.
According to Meta, with ‘end-to-end encryption’, message and call details are visible only to the sender and receiver, not even to Meta.
