US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken is currently visiting Jordan. During this visit, he will meet with the ministers of various countries in the Middle East. They are expected to call for an immediate ceasefire in the besieged Gaza Strip.
Blinken will meet Jordan’s King Abdullah before meeting with the foreign ministers of Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates. Foreign ministers of various Middle Eastern countries and Blinken’s meeting will also be attended by a representative of the Palestinian Authority, it is reported.
Earlier on Friday, Blinken called for a humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza. But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected his call. He said the attack on Gaza will not stop until all hostages held by Hamas are released.
Meanwhile, the Hamas-controlled Ministry of Health in Gaza said that an explosion occurred outside Al Shifa Hospital there. At least 13 people have been killed. According to a statement of the Palestinian independence organization Hamas, the Israeli forces attacked a fleet of ambulances.
In these ambulances, wounded Palestinians were being taken to the southern Rafah crossing in the Gaza Strip. But the Israeli forces launched a barbaric attack targeting them.
The Israeli army also confirmed that they attacked the ambulance. They claim that the ambulance belongs to Hamas. However, it was not reported where they attacked.
