Earlier on Tuesday night, the Islamic Jihad, an Iranian-backed armed group close to Hamas, fired rockets towards Israel. Shortly after, the Israeli army ordered the evacuation of residents from Jabalia and the surrounding area. Israel then launched a counterattack.
