Pakistan has decided to shut down ‘X’ across the country for a long time, alleging that it is dangerous for the country’s security.
On Wednesday (April 17), the Ministry of Interior submitted a response to a Pakistani court on the issue.
Before this, the people of Pakistan could not use the microblogging platform since last February. However, the government did not say anything about this problem at that time.
The Ministry of Home Affairs clarified in the court that the situation has arisen to ban the X platform. Because the organization is not following the rules of the government of Pakistan. There are certain activities going on using this platform that are questionable.
That is why ‘X’ has been closed for the time being across the country. This decision is to maintain the security and law and order of the country, to maintain the integrity of the country.
The ministry also informed that this decision was taken based on the report of Intelligence and Security Department of Pakistan. According to the intelligence report, there is an attempt to create unrest across the country through the X platform.
In this way, an attempt is being made to create anarchy in the country by spreading unrest. Incidentally, since the middle of February, people have not been able to use the X handle. However, the government of Pakistan kept a tight lid on the whole issue for a long time.
However, according to the sources, after the intelligence report was received, the government of Pakistan had a meeting with X officials regarding all the allegations. But X bosses are not at all interested in solving the problem. After that, the Ministry of Interior of Pakistan clarified in the court that X has been closed across the country.
But X is not banned yet. No response was received from the micro blogging site regarding this decision of Pakistan.
