The father shot dead his own son after an argument started over the hoisting of the flag of Tehreek-e-Insaf Party (PTI), the party of Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
According to the police, a young man from Peshawar in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province returned home from Qatar a few days ago. Returning home, he hoisted the PTI flag in his house. Father and son argue about the matter. At one point, the father shot and killed his son.
District Police Officer Nasir Farid said that the father prevented the son from hoisting the PTI flag at home. But the boy refused to lower the flag. As the argument escalated, the father shot the 31-year-old son. The son died on the way to the hospital. Police are looking for the killer father. It is known that he is involved in the politics of the country’s Awami National Party.
