After the end of a week of ceasefire, the Israeli forces started heavy bombardment in the Khan Yunus area of Gaza. After the attack, the sky of Gaza filled with smoke. Meanwhile, the residents came out of the house.
At least 184 Palestinians have been killed and at least 589 injured in attacks since the ceasefire, according to Gaza health workers. Besides, 20 houses were destroyed.
More than 15,000 Palestinians have lost their lives in Israeli attacks so far. Most of the dead were women and children.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein AmirAbdullahian said that the United Nations, especially the Security Council, has failed to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities on the Palestinian issue. One of the reasons for their failure is US support for Israel.
In a written statement, he said, “We have to boldly admit that the United Nations has failed to take legal and moral steps on the question of Palestine and the Palestinians.”
The only reason for this failure is the unilateral support of the US to the occupying forces. Moreover, the US administration is not allowing any action to bring Israel under accountability. It is actually a moral failure and a dereliction of conscience for the international community and the UN system.
