The United Arab Emirates has issued a strong condemnation following a hostile Iranian drone attack that was successfully intercepted by air defense systems over the nation’s territorial waters. Authorities described the incident as a dangerous escalation and a flagrant violation of the country’s sovereignty, security, and stability, noting that such actions pose a direct threat to the safety of all citizens and residents.
In an official statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) characterized the incursion as an unacceptable act of aggression. The Ministry emphasized that these actions directly threaten the UAE’s territorial integrity and violate the core principles of international law as well as the Charter of the United Nations. Consequently, the UAE has declared that it will not tolerate any threats to its security and reserves the full, legitimate right to respond in a manner that protects its national interests, territory, and the safety of everyone within its borders, in strict accordance with international law.
The government further underscored that the attack is unequivocally rejected under all established legal and humanitarian norms. The UAE has demanded an immediate cessation of all such hostilities and holds Iran fully responsible for the attack and any subsequent repercussions. The Ministry stressed the urgent need for full compliance with international standards to ensure regional stability and prevent further provocations.
