Saudi Arabia has announced the holy Eid-ul-Fitr holiday for public and private institutions. This time, a total of four days holiday has been announced in the country on the occasion of Eid.
But due to the two-day weekly holiday, the citizens of the country can spend six consecutive days off. This holiday will start from April 8 (Monday).
The Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development confirmed the holiday. Most of the workers will get a chance to spend long vacations.
As per announcement, Eid holiday is from April 8 (Monday) to April 11 (Thursday). But the next two days are weekly off. As a result, the citizens of the country will get six consecutive days off.
On March 10, the moon of the holy month of Ramadan was seen in the sky of Saudi Arabia. So Monday (March 11) was the first day of Ramadan in the country.
According to the Islamic calendar, Ramadan is the ninth month. During this month, Muslims do not eat from sunrise to sunset.
This year, the people of the city of Port Mont, Chile will have to go without food for the least amount of time during the holy month of Ramadan. Muslims there have to fast for 12 hours and 44 minutes. The longest time i.e. 17 hours and 26 minutes without eating should be in the capital of Greenland.
