Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has got back the party symbol ‘cricket bat’.
The party will be able to contest the upcoming National Assembly elections of the country with the cricket bat symbol.
Earlier last week, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) canceled PTI’s party symbol. PTI termed the decision to cancel the symbol as politically motivated.
PTI’s lawyer Syed Ali Zafar said, “The Election Commission issued an order canceling PTI’s election symbol bat.” Peshawar High Court has stayed this unfairly issued order. At the same time, the court ordered to return the symbol.
It should be noted that on February 8, Pakistan will vote in the National Assembly elections.
