Deepfake is an artificial intelligence technique that seamlessly alters real video footage to replace a person’s appearance and physical condition with that of another person.
Generally, this technology is used more for the purpose of spreading confusion. The original video was originally by Zara Patel, a woman of British-Indian origin who has a huge following on social media. He uploaded the video on October 9.
Rashmika’s deepfake video is very difficult to identify as a fake, leading many to criticize Rashmika for believing the video to be genuine.
However, if you look carefully, you will notice that the woman’s appearance changes after entering the elevator.
In this regard, Rashmika said on her X (Twitter), ‘Recently a deepfake video of me has spread online and I am very saddened to speak about it. Such misuse of technology is scary not only for me but for many. Today as a grown woman and actress I am grateful to my family, friends and my fans as they are my shield. But think, if this happened to me when I was in school or college, I can’t even imagine how I would have handled myself.’
He also said, ‘We should take action on this immediately, so that this does not happen to anyone else.’
Bollywood stars stand by Rashmika in this incident. Bollywood shahenshah Amitabh Bachchan demanded legal action in this incident. He shared the video identifying the deepfake on his Twitter account.
Rashmika Mandana started acting in Bollywood last year with the movie ‘Goodbye’. Rashmika played Amitabh’s daughter in the movie. Amitabh praised Rashmika’s performance during the promotion of the film.
Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandana will be seen in ‘Animal’ directed by Sandeep Reddy in December this year.
