The Israeli army has admitted to killing three of its hostages in Gaza ‘by mistake’.
Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari said, ‘The three hostages were killed by the soldiers as a threat.’
‘One of them is Yotam Haim, the other Samer Talalka. However, the name of the third person is not being disclosed at the request of the family,” he said.
“The IDF takes full responsibility for the incident and the incident is being investigated,” said Daniel Hagari.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed deep sorrow, calling the incident an ‘unbearable tragedy’.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he said, ‘Along with all the people of Israel, I mourn the death of three of our beloved children who were abducted, Yotam Haim and Samer Fuad al-Talalka. ‘
