US President Joe Biden was invited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend India’s Republic Day celebrations. But Biden is not joining the US President at that event. As a result, the Quard conference to be organized at that time has also become uncertain.
On Tuesday (December 12), an Indian government source informed about the matter said that the US President may not be visiting India.
Modi and Biden had a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the G-20 conference organized in New Delhi on September 8. At that time, the Prime Minister of the country invited the US President to visit India on Democracy Day.
Besides, the Quad conference was scheduled to be held on January 27. Apart from India, America, Japan and Australia were also supposed to participate there. But due to Biden not coming, problems have arisen. Other countries are also rumored to have problems. So that is not happening now.
Earlier, the Indian government had invited the then US President Donald Trump as the chief guest for the Republic Day program at Rajpath in New Delhi in 2018. But Trump could not keep the invitation due to domestic schedule.
Earlier, in 2015, US President Barack Obama appeared as the chief guest at the Republic Day programme.
