The Lebanese government has banned passengers from using pagers and walkie-talkies on flights.
It is said that the Lebanese government took this decision in view of the explosion of 5,000 pagers across the country on Tuesday, killing 12 people and on Wednesday, 20 people in the Wakitki explosion.
According to the Lebanese state media, the Director General of Civil Aviation of Lebanon said in a directive that no passenger can carry any kind of pager or walkie-talkie on the flight. The decision was taken after coordinated attacks on Tuesday and Wednesday.
5,000 pagers exploded across Lebanon on Tuesday, killing 12 and injuring 3,000. Similarly, 20 people were killed and 450 injured in the Wakitki blast on Wednesday. After that, the Lebanese government decided to ban the carrying of pagers and walkie-talkies on flights.
