Chowdhury Muhammad Adnan, a candidate supported by Imran Khan, who participated in the general elections of Pakistan, was shot dead.
It is reported that the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chowdhury Muhammad Adnan contested as an independent candidate in NA-57 seat of Rawalpindi and PP-19 seat of Punjab Provincial Council in Pakistan General Assembly elections last Thursday (February 8).
In 2018, he was elected as a member of the Punjab Provincial Assembly from Imran Khan’s party.
A Rawalpindi police statement said that it is believed that Muhammad Adnan was killed out of personal enmity. The investigation is going on, everyone involved in the murder will be arrested and brought to court.
Earlier on Friday (February 9), police opened fire on protesting PTI activists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Shingla area over allegations of vote rigging. 2 PTI workers were killed and at least 12 others were injured in the firing.
