At just 15 years old, Saudi writer Ritaj Al-Hazmi has been listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s youngest female columnist. Through this, he made a Guinness record for the second time. Earlier, at the age of 12, he published a series of books and made it to the Guinness Book of World Records for the first time.
Ritaj writes about the transformation of Saudi Arabia by stepping into the world of journalism. He highlighted the potential of the new generation to revolutionize the country’s economy.
Ritaj has been inducted into the Guinness Book of Records for the second time after writing 10 consecutive articles for Arab News. In his writings, major projects under Saudi Arabia’s ‘Vision-2030’ have been highlighted. He has also covered issues such as Saudi Arabia’s space program and cultural preservation, as well as local initiatives.
Ritaj spoke to about his hopes for the future of the Saudi monarchy. He said, “The many initiatives and programs we see today, I believe—we will see great progress over the next few years, which will advance the new generation.” Although it is a possibility, it is a guarantee of a prosperous economy.
Al-Hazmi started writing short stories when he was only six years old. Later, family members encouraged him to enroll him in creative writing classes.
In 2019, he published his first English language novels ‘Treasure of the Lost Sea’ and ‘Portal of the Hidden World’ at the age of 10. In 2021, he published his third novel ‘Beyond the Future World’.
Asked what advice he would give to aspiring writers, Al-Hazmi said, ‘If you want to be a writer, one thing you should remember is that no matter how hard you face, you should always try to move forward.’
