Dubai’s newly established parking company Perkin has appointed Mohammed Al Ali as CEO.
Parkin was established as a public joint stock company to oversee operations related to parking spaces in the Emirates.
The decision was taken in the first board meeting from January 11 chaired by Ahmed Hashem Bahrozian.
Ali brings over two decades of experience in project management with an emphasis on sustainability initiatives in the public transport and infrastructure sectors. He joined the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in 2007 and has led various departments within the agency for over 16 years, including buildings, strategic planning and the bus department. He played a key role in leading the operational team of the transport and traffic management system hosting the Expo 2020 event as well as leading the operational team providing passenger transport services during COP28. Prior to this, he had over six years of experience within its construction and building segments.
Ali holds a master’s degree in engineering management and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the American University of Sharjah. He is also a member of the International Transport Organization (UITP), heading the organization’s Mobility Working Group in the Middle East and North Africa.
Parkin Chairman Ahmed Hashem Bahrozian said: “Today marks an important occasion as we appoint Parkin’s first CEO, a visionary leader with a clear vision for the company’s future, committed to innovation and excellence. We are confident that this move will take the company to new horizons full of success and progress.”
