Barcelona’s wait for Brazil’s hot young footballer Vitor Roque is coming to an end. In the meantime, Rock has also arrived in Barcelona with his family to join the Catalan club.
On Wednesday (December 27), Barca signed an official contract with this footballer from the Brazilian club Atletico Paranaise. Once the rest is done, he will no longer be barred from playing for Barcelona.
The Spanish giants have already welcomed the rock on their social media. A Barça jersey has also been sent to him before the deal is completed. In an official statement, the club announced a contract with the Brazilian forward until June 2031. If he leaves Barca during this period, he will have to pay a fine of 500 million euros.
When the two sides agreed in July this year, Barca reported a fee of €74 million for the rock from Atletico Paranaise. This includes fixed salary, bonus, tax. According to the contract, Vitor Roque is guaranteed to stay in Brazil until mid-2024. However, later, the Catalans announced that he would be added to the advance team six months earlier. As such, this young star will become a full-fledged Barça player in January.
With the 18-year-old Brazilian footballer, all that remains is the player registration process in La Liga. The January transfer window will start on January 2. If everything goes according to plan, Rock could make his debut for Barcelona in the league match against Las Palmas on January 4. He is due to be officially welcomed by the Spanish champions the day before.
