Bollywood actor Govinda admitted to hospital after being shot. Within hours of the incident, the actor sent a message to his fans from the hospital. He said that bullets were removed from his body. Now he is fine. Overwhelmed by fans’ wishes, the star thanked everyone in return.
According to Mumbai Police sources, the accident took place around 5:30 am on Tuesday. The actor was on his way to the airport from home. Then one of his legs was shot below the knee. He was injured by his own revolver. Bollywood’s ‘Hero No. 1’ was rushed to a hospital near his home. Doctors started treating him there. According to hospital sources, Govinda’s physical condition is currently stable.
Hindi film dance icon Govinda thanked fans and well-wishers in an audio message within an hour of the incident. “I was shot,” he said in the audio message. Shots fired. I thank the doctors.
The 60-year-old actor also said that he was saved in this journey only with the blessings of his devotees, parents and guru. But how did the actor get shot?
Govinder’s manager Shashi Sinha said the actor keeps the licensed revolver with him. Somehow it fell out of hand and onto the floor. This is when the trigger is pressed and the bullet is fired. The bullet penetrated one leg below the knee.
Govind told his wife Sunita Ahuja about the shooting over the phone, while he was in Kolkata. Called the manager. They informed the police. The police rescued him from Juhu’s house and took him to the hospital.
