Due to the rains, the roads in Makkah are submerged and almost half of the cars are drowning in the flood water.
Heavy rains have caused flooding in the holy city of Mecca and surrounding areas in Saudi Arabia. Several valleys and low-lying areas of Makkah experienced flash floods due to storms and heavy rain since Thursday.
The floods also affected the Eastern Province, Medina, Asir, Jazan, Al-Baha, Hail and Tabuk regions.
Due to the rains, the roads in Makkah are submerged and almost half of the cars are drowning in the flood water. Earlier, the National Meteorological Center had issued a moderate to heavy thunderstorm warning in parts of Makkah, Jizan, Asir, Al Baha and Madinah.
The Saudi Meteorological Department has highlighted persistent unstable conditions with northwesterly winds over the Red Sea. The authorities issued the alert as eight regions including Makkah, Sharqiya, Madinah and Tabuk remain on alert.
