China has announced Mission-3 to return to Earth with samples of the surface of Mars. For this reason, China plans to send a satellite to Mars by 2028.
According to the announcement, this mission will be better than the US NASA.
China’s Tianwen-3 mission will collect samples of the Martian surface and then return it to Earth, Liu Jizhong said. After that sample, data will be analyzed in cooperation with different countries.
Tianwen-3 mission chief designer Liu Jizhong announced details of China’s Mars mission at the 2nd ‘International Deep Space Exploration Conference’ held in Huangshan City, Ahui Province, China.
Incidentally, China has already approved 4 missions to Mars. These 4 missions will be completed over the next 10 to 15 days.
The Tianwen-1 mission has already been completed. Tianwen-2 will then collect samples of near-Earth asteroids by 2025. Tianwen-3 will collect samples from Mars and return to Earth, and Tianwen-4 will travel to Jupiter and its moons by 2030.
