Three Spanish tourists, including an Afghan national, have been shot dead by a gunman in Afghanistan. Three more Afghans and four foreign nationals were injured
Interior Ministry spokesman Abdul Matin Ghani said three more Afghans and four foreigners were injured when gunmen opened fire in Afghanistan’s Bamiyan province. He said that four people have been arrested in this incident.
He also said that the Taliban government has expressed grief over the incident. Those involved in this will be severely punished. However, no group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
Spain’s foreign ministry confirmed the killing of three of its citizens. Besides, one more of them was injured in the shooting incident on Friday.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said in a social media post that he expressed his condolences to their families and friends over the killing of three Spanish citizens in Afghanistan. He is closely monitoring this incident and has assured all kinds of cooperation.
