The accident occurred when the bus carrying 51 passengers hit the Hohot-Bihai Expressway tunnel wall at high speed.
Fourteen people were killed and several others injured after a bus crashed inside an expressway tunnel in northern China .The accident happened shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday (March 19) local authorities Shaanxi province say .
14 dead bodies were found at the accident site and several others were sent to hospital. It also said that an investigation is underway to find out the cause of the accident.
Earlier in February last year, 16 people died in a road accident in central China’s Hunan province. A month earlier, 19 people were killed and 20 injured in a road accident in eastern Jiangxi province.
