The country’s law enforcement forces have arrested more than 19,500 migrants in Saudi Arabia for violating labor and safety laws.
On Sunday (February 25), the country’s Ministry of Interior announced this information about the arrest of immigrants. They were arrested on charges of illegal residence, labor and security violations during a raid from February 15 to 21.
It is said that 11 thousand 897 people were detained for violating the Housing Act, 4 thousand 254 people were detained for violating the Border Security Act and 3 thousand 280 people were detained for violating the Labor Act.
In addition, 971 people were detained while trying to enter Saudi Arabia illegally and 36 people were detained while trying to leave Saudi Arabia illegally.
It is also said that currently 58 thousand 365 people arrested in Saudi Arabia have faced the legal system. Of these, 9,500 people have been sent back.
