At least 40 people were killed in Israeli airstrikes on several residential areas in the central Palestinian Gaza Strip. Another 100 people were injured.
The incident took place in the Occupied Palestinian Territory and Israel after 7 am local time.
On Thursday, Israeli planes repeatedly attacked several residential houses in Deir el-Balah city of Gaza. These houses were completely destroyed.
Gaza’s official media office said in a statement that 40 people were killed and more than 100 wounded in the “heinous massacre” by Israeli forces in the central part of the territory. Most of the casualties were women and children.
We hold Israel, along with the American administration and the international community, fully responsible for these ongoing crimes, and we call on the world to immediately stop the Israeli army’s atrocities against civilians, the statement added.
