Nine terrorists were killed on Friday (February 16) and Saturday in two specific operations by security forces in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Pakistan. One soldier also died in this operation.
A statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the military said that two terrorists were killed in an intelligence-based operation conducted by the security forces in Tank district. Among them, the deceased was HVT Rahmat Ullah, known as Badr Mansoor and the other deceased was identified as TS Amjad alias Babar.
On the other hand, in another operation conducted in South Waziristan district, seven terrorists were killed after intense exchange of fire. Also, weapons, ammunition and explosives were found with these terrorists.
They were involved in numerous terrorist activities in the region, including attacks on security forces, extortion and targeted killing of innocent civilians, the statement said. However, Sepoy Shahzeb Aslam fought bravely and sacrificed his life during the operation. The 29-year-old Sena is a resident of Haripur district. “Pakistan’s security forces are determined to eliminate the threat of terrorism from the country,” ISPR said in a statement.
