The Hemaya International Centre at the General Department of Anti-Narcotics in Dubai Police launches the ‘Dubai Police Winter Programme for Students 2023’ tomorrow (Monday). The Programme involves the participation of 300 male and female students from various emirates, representing different nationalities.
The Programme, which runs from the 11th to the 22nd of December, is carried out this year in cooperation with the Emirates Schools Establishment (ESE) and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA). Its primary objective is to involve students in outdoor, physical activities and enhance their skills and overall knowledge during the winter break.
The Winter Programme activities are held at five training venues: the Zayed Education Complex in Oud Al Muteena for boys, Asmaa Bint Al Noaman Girls School, the Equestrian Training Centre, the Swimming Training Centre, and the Young Rescuer Training Centre. It offers a wide range of exceptional and diverse activities, such as sports and military training, and informative lectures on drug and security awareness, while emphasizing the significance of positive citizenship and its influence on individual behaviour.
Moreover, the Programme sheds light on negative behaviours that are foreign to our society, such as theft, bullying, and smoking, while highlighting the significance of volunteerism in social life and its positive influence on Emirati society. Additionally, participants have the opportunity to embark on field visits to various departments and facilities within Dubai Police.
The programme starts daily at 8:00 am and offers a diverse range of activities until 12:20 pm. The organizers have made great attention and efforts to ensure that the programme is diverse, informative, and enriching, providing students with valuable knowledge and nurturing the development of their skills. Additionally, the Programme aims to motivate students to effectively utilize their free time by participating in programs that safeguard them from detrimental temptations and negative influences.
